The fall of the Jedi (MOC)

Although this MOC was originally going to be my first submission to the "Dark Times" RPG, I decided not to submit it seeing as though it did not meet the Order-66 rules. Still, I decided I'd like to honor it with a blog post - nevertheless, it's still a pretty good MOC. I'm thinking about Adding a tree to this MOC and removing the phase one trooper (to make the build valid).

Approximate build time: 2 hours

Number of pieces: Around 450

Availability of the pieces: None of the pieces are rare in any way. The MOC is mostly built from brown and dark brown slopes. which are very easy to come by on the official Lego shop and in second-hand stores.

Favorite part of the build process: Constructing the minifgure weaponry.

Level of difficulty: Once you've figured out how to build a free-form base, the rest of the MOC is easy to build. However, the small platform was a mystery to a couple of FOLs that I showed this MOC to.

For every entry in the RPG you must add a story to your picture, so here is what would have been mine had I submitted this MOC.

He had been hiding there for ages - a former Jedi general, now a helpless man trying to escape death.

"Surely they'd be gone by now" he though to himself.

It had been five days since his clone troops had turned on him. He had spent those last few days hiding in a muddy trench surviving off of the few trickles of water that flowed down the slick walls. It didn't help that he was starving either. A trained Jedi can go a long time without subsidence, but Master Kas (for that was his name) was also heavily wounded. A lucky shot had been dealt by one of his clone troopers injuring his left leg. Had it not been for the constant flow of the force Kas was channeling through it, he might have fallen into a comma from blood loss and extreme pain.

After thinking about it for some time, Kas decided to finally leave his hiding spot in search of medical supplies, perhaps left behind by the troops he had led. Upon exiting the trench he heard a familiar voice.

"General," it said. "So good to see you up and about after all these days"

Kas turned to see Jase, his lieutenant in the new phase 2 armor he had begun to wear. Kas despised that armor. He remembered how just a few weeks ago his troops had saluted him in their standard issue phase 1 armor. This new armor represented for him the time in which the Jedi order and the Galactic Republic had fallen in one sinister move.

"I'm afraid I can't return the compliment," replied Kas, slowly limping away from Jase. He noticed another trooper closing in on him from behind and casually reached for his lightsaber.

"I doubt that will do you any good in your condition," said Jase, who had noticed Kas' actions.

Nevertheless, Kas ignited his saber and took a defensive stance. Upon seeing this, the trooper behind him looked to his lieutenant for guidance.

"Fire on my command," said Jase in reply to the trooper's glances.

"Remember," thought Kas to himself. "A Jedi never attacks."

"Fire!" yelled Jase.

The trooper barely had a chance to squeeze off one shot (which the Jedi master easily deflected) before he was blown back by a force push. The sound of gunfire attracted the attention of a squadron, which immediately broke into a run in the Jedi's direction. Kas knew he could not defeat the clone forces, but he might as well go down fighting.
