How to build a mini Apollo Lunar lander

As this year is the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing, I built a small version of the lunar module. You need very few pieces and the end result looks great.

Most of the pieces are very common, the exceptions are the small white figurine and the rocket/missile piece on the top of the module. The white figurine representing an astronaut is not very necessary, however the rocket/missile piece looks the best on the model. You could substitute it with a different piece, however this is the best piece for the model. Below is a list of the pieces needed and the instructions.

Here's the list of pieces needed for the build:

One small white figurine
One 1x2 gold grille
One 1x1 modified grey brick with studs on all sides
One 1x1 grey round plate
One grey neck bracket piece
Eight joystick pieces
One dark grey 1x1 brick with four wings ( rocket piece )

The first thing you need to do is pop the grey part of the joystick piece off of the black part of the joystick piece so that it looks like the picture below.

Do this to all eight of the joy sticks until you have eight grey parts and eight black parts. Put a grey part of the joystick piece onto a black part backwards, as shown below.

Repeat this four times so you have four of the pieces shown above. Once you have these pieces, push the grey parts of the pieces all the way down the black parts, as shown below.

Now put the grey parts from the other four joysticks from the beginning onto the pieces we already have.

You should have four black parts of the joystick leftover which will not be used in this model. Now put the pieces we just made onto the modified 1x1 brick with studs on all sides, as shown below.

Make sure that the side of the pieces attached to the 1x1 brick is the side without the black ball sticking out. Below is a picture of the side which should not be attached to the 1x1 brick.

Now take the neck bracket piece and attach it to the round 1x1 round plate.

Then attach to this the gold grille piece.

Attach this part to the bottom of the part we built earlier.

Then to this we attach the rocket/missile piece.

Now you have your own little lunar lander!
