In 1978 the first three LEGO themes were made. Classic space, classic castle and the first city theme. Though none of them were named, fans use the terms to describe the original three themes. This week I will talk about the classic castle theme. Along with the other three original themes, classic castle was founded in 1978. One of its' most known sets was the 375 castle. Known as the "yellow castle" among fans, it consisted of 14 minifigures and 4 buildable horses and is one of LEGO's most famous sets. It was first released in Europe and then in other places in the world. Though the theme lasted for 7 years (from 1978 to 1984), the theme only produced six sets: 375 castle, 677 knights procession, 383 knights tournament, 0016 castle minifigures (which had three soldiers), 6002 castle minifigures (which had four soldiers), and 15 castle minifigures ( it actually only had six minifigures. the'15' was the set number). The themes minifigures were knights with seven different emblems and two onlookers in 383 knights tournament (which included a king). Many pieces from that time are not produced nowadays including flags, a rare tree, wheels that were used in the older city theme (but not today's), and very small 1x1x1 windows.
